Editting a Queue Manager Access Profile

This section will describe how to edit a Queue Manager Access Profile so that you can connect to a local or remote queue manager.

From the main menu of MQ Visual Browse, select File then Open Queue

The following is the Open Queue Dialog panel:

Now select the Edit button to edit the selected Queue Manager Access Profile.

If the queue manager is local to where you are running MQVB then all you need to specify is the queue manager.

If the queue manager is remote to where you are running MQVB then you must all 4 parameters: queue manager, Channel Name, IP / hostname and port number.
If the remote queue manager is located on OS/390 (mainframe) then select the radio button Mainframe

It is highly recommended that you press the Test button before you save the updated Queue Manager Access Profile.
You should receive the following message if MQ Visual Browse can connect to the specified queue manager:
