Chapter 6 Message Edit Window

Message Edit Window - MQMD Tab

This section will describe how to edit a message in the openned queue.

If you have previously opened SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE, the main panel may look something like:

From the main panel of MQ Visual Edit, select Edit, then Edit Message.

The user may alter any value on any of the MQMD sub-tabs: General, Report, Context, Identifiers, Segmentation or Attributes. For more information about editing the MQMD click here.

Clicking the Save button will delete the old copy of the message and insert the new updated message into the queue.

The main panel is updated with the new message from the editing session
